Borkum Riff Limited Edition 2012 Pipe Tobacco (100g tin)

I love Borkum Riff so when I saw this limited edition tin, I had to give I a try. I wasn't dissapointed. When you open the can and have your first snif, you know that it's something special and unusual, even for Borkum Riff. The typical Borkum Riff aroma that's signature of all their product that I've tried was missing and there was a faint tropical smell that was beautiful. I liked this tobacco so much that the "limited edition" tag scared me and I bought two more. This is great stuff, don't miss your chance to try it.

I know BR is considered by some to be an over the counter or for beginners, but I have smoked a pipe for nearly 50 years and find the quality of tobaccos, as well as the blending in this one to be excellent. It has a definite burley and virginia taste but does not bite and is not over powering. Personally I would add a pinch more burley. Added aromatics are also well balanced and just add extra taste. Ready to smoke, not too moist. Easy on the tounge, does not bite. I have a tin of this along with two English blends with me. Afraid I might run out of the BR before I get back to the US.

Pretty good tobacco. Light and mild. Not a long lasting smoke-burns a little quickly. Would buy it again.
