Let me say up front that this was my first pipe and first pipe smoking experience. I knew I always wanted to smoke a pipe one day and this gift set was my intro into it all. Having said that, let me proceed with the review:
Good pipe. Smokes well (once I learned how to pack it correctly). Can get a 30-40 minute burn on it and the pipe gets hot near the end (but not too hot to where you can't handle it with comfort and ease). The selection of the tobacco was quite good. I loved both the rum flavored and the vanilla, caramel, honey tobacco. It really is a great set because it includes everything you need to begin smoking and to clean it (literally: it includes matches to get the party started!).
All to say that, as a beginner with no experience prior, I could not be happier with this package and the price I paid. Let the age of pipe smoking begin!

Getting into pipe smoking and this was a gift from my wife. Absolutely brilliant! The pipe is fantastic, the accessories a perfect touch, and the tobacco was fine. all in all a terrific gift pack. this will be my place to shop!
