Samuel Gawith has been producing tobaccos and snuffs since the reign of George the third, and now, as we approach the new millenium, production continues using the original recipes and machinery which was brought by pack-horse from Scotland to the Kendal "Brown House" in 1792. Pipe smokers and snuff pinchers the world over have visited us, and returning to their native land, have enthused about their new found love - traditional English tobaccos and Snuffs. Samuel Gawith tobaccos and snuffs are produced by artisans with decades of knowledge and experience in the making of these traditional tobacco products.
