McClelland Blakeneys Tawny Flake (50g tin)

Everything I said it the above review and it is to be rated 5 Stars! Not sure what happened there but a definite 5 star Virginia.

After trying many of the samplers at pipes and cigars, this is one of the real standouts in a crowd of fine pipe tobaccos. Loved the taste, burned cool, smelled fantastic. I'm back to purchase more.

A sweet, tangy Virginia. Tasty and very nice in the nose.

I have to say that this flake totally is underated. The flakes are thick and may need some drying out for some. Yes it has some tang to it but hey, that's toasting! It will make your pipes smell nice also. Tawney burns all the way down with no junk in the heel of the bowl. The biggest rave that I have for it is that it ages VERY well. I purchased a tine a few years ago and noticed that the date on the tin was '05! I held on to it for a couple more years since Pease says the magic happens after 5 yrs and I wanted to see just what happened. Man it is AMAZING full, rich and plenty of sweet flavor. A darn nice VA fresh or aged. It's very inexpensive so there really is nothing to lose!
