Alec Bradley built their reputation on rich, robust cigars like Tempus, Black Market, and Prensado, among many others. But some say that the real art in making cigars is to make a mellower blend that is interesting enough to hold your attention. To that end, Alan Rubin invites you to try Ale.c Bradley Medalist.

Like most mellow premium cigars, Alec Bradley Medalist uses a Connecticut Shade wrapper, but this one is different. Grown in Honduras, there's no need to grow it under cloth tapedas because of the extensive overcast skies. But this makes these wrappers a bit darker and richer in flavor. All of the other tobaccos in Medalist are Honduran as well, and the resulting cigar is silky-looking with notes of toast, sweet wood, leather, and subtle hints of coffee and white pepper. When you're looking for a lot of flavor without overwhelming strength, reach for an Alec Bradley Medalist.
