Actually, other than the name, luck doesn't enter into Alec Bradley Superstition. When you've made hit after hit, you don't need a rabbit's foot or a horseshoe to make a winning blend, and Alan Rubin certainly has with this gem. These medium to full-bodied beauties sport a dark and oily Nicaraguan Jalapa wrapper that looks good enough to eat. Beneath that is a Sumatra binder which adds a hint of dark fruit sweetness, and at the core you have a blend of Honduran, Nicaraguan, and Dominican long-fillers. Alec Bradley Superstition will deliver notes of dark roast coffee, rawhide, roasted nuts, wood, and some baking spices. Super-flavorful, but without a sky-high price, Superstition deserves a spot in your humidor.
