Blending - Green River Black Cavendish
This is another very versatile component. Green River Burley is treated with sugar water and toasted until the sugar caramelizes and the tobacco is almost black. It has a smooth brown-sugar flavor and a slightly sweet note. In Latakia blends, it will mellow the flavor. In Virginia or Virginia/Perique blends, it adds a warm softness, and it can sweeten Burley blends without adding flavoring. Moderate in nicotine, average burn rate.
Please note: Some of our blending tobaccos arrive in a dry state from the manufacturer since they don't add humectants to these tobaccos. We aren't allowed by law to add any moisture to the tobaccos we sell, so they may arrive rather dry, but will rehumidify easily.
