Cornell & Diehl Small Batch Sun Bear Tupelo

One of the most underappreciated types of pipe tobacco is the Virginia/Oriental blend, and the latest limited release from Cornell & Diehl is a terrific example of this type of tobacco, with some additions that take it to a higher level.

Cornell & Diehl Small Batch - Sun Bear Tupelo begins with toasty red and tangy bright Virginias combined with Basma and Izmir Orientals. This blend would have a naturally sweet, herbal, and floral flavor, but C&D didn't stop there. These tobaccos are finished with notes of rare Tupelo honey, silver tequila, and elderflower to give the blend intriguing depth and a mellow sweetness and zestiness.
