La Gloria Cubana Spanish Press
La Gloria Cubana Spanish Press is the latest entry from this storied brand, and we expect big things from these cigars. They're rolled in a boutique section of General Cigar's Dominican factory and are only made by especially skilled workers. After rolling (in only three sizes), the cigars are moved into boxes with walled compartments and pressed into a firmly squared-off shape, eliminating air pockets and ensuring a straight, even burn. They feature a Nicaraguan Jalapa wrapper with a bit of a reddish hue. Underneath is a San Andres binder, and a combination of Brazilian Mata Fina, Dominican Olor and Piloto Cubano, and Nicaraguan Jalapa long-fillers. There are notes of cedar, wood, some herbal hints, and just enough smooth but lively spice to balance everything out. The folks who have tried it here have loved it, so grab some and see if you agree.
