My Father Connecticut is clad in a tawny Ecuadorian Connecticut shade-grown wrapper that's super-silky. Underneath, though, the formula becomes really interesting. A Nicaraguan Criollo '99 binder and a combination of Nicaraguan Habano and Corojo long-fillers help move the strength into the mellow to medium-bodied range. This 90-rated gem has notes of leather, cocoa, nutmeg, and a slightly floral character. Here's all the proof you need that Don Pepin Garcia can make a great mellower cigar, too.
