Norman Rockwell Limited Edition Smooth
Norman Rockwell not only often depicted pipes in his illustrations, but he was a dedicated pipe smoker himself. Looking at one of his most famous paintings (his Triple Self-Portrait), he's shown smoking a long, slender-shanked billiard, which was an extremely popular shape during the time. We wanted to produce a pipe that would honor his memory, so we approached the folks at Stanwell to ask if they could make it. They have a shape that is close (the 107 straight billiard), but it is only 5.5" long, so we asked if they could make the pipe extra-long, and they delivered! These pencil-shanked billiards only weigh around an ounce and come in a mahogany smooth finish with black stems and bright nickel bands. In addition, instead of a box that you'll eventually throw away, these pipes will come to you in a black leather zippered carrying case. Each pipe features the Stanwell crest on the stem and Rockwell's signature on the shank. These briars are the perfect mix of nostalgia and quality, at a remarkably fair price, but there were only 300 produced in total, so get yours before they're gone.
