After the success of the full bodied Oliva Series V, Oliva cigars wanted to jump into the mellow cigar market. The end result was the Oliva Connecticut Reserve. This cigar is mellow bodied, yet has ton of flavor. This is a great cigar for their first release in the mellow cigar market. The Oliva Connecticut Reserve has an Ecuadorian Connecticut shade wrapper that is pristine. Unlike other Connecticut wrappers, this one is toothy and doesnt have a lot of veins. The filler and binder is a blend of Nicaraguan tobacco. As soon as you fire up this cigar, you are hit with a creamy vanilla flavor with a hint of toasted almonds. The flavor lasts throughout the whole smoke leaving a sweetness on the palate. The Oliva Connecticut Reserve is offered in 5 different sizes. This cigar is everything you expect from an Oliva cigar with a mellow body. The construction is perfect and burn is always consistent. You cant go wrong with these. Oliva fans will love this cigar as a morning smoke.
