Perdomo Double Aged 12 Year Vintage Maduro
Like a fine wine...
Long, slow aging might not work so well for that batch of chili you made three weeks ago, but it can perform miracles on tobacco, and that's exactly what Nick Perdomo had in mind when he created the Perdomo Double Aged 12 Year Vintage Maduro.
To make these singular cigars, all of the tobaccos used - wrapper, binder and fillers - are baled up for a decade. Then they're tranferred into charred oak bourbon barrels to settle for another two years. The leaf becomes smoother, mellower and more consistent.
In the case of Perdomo Double Aged 12 Year Vintage Maduro, the wrapper is a beautifully dark Nicaraguan leaf, and along with Nicaraguan binder and long-filler tobaccos, it helps to create a medium to full-bodied cigar brimming with espresso and cocoa, with natural sweetness and gentle spice. This limited production stick is way too good to pass up.
