Few cigar makers have developed more different series of cigars than Nick Perdomo. It's hard to believe that there's anything new for him to do, but he's found one. Welcome Perdomo Double Aged 12 Year Vintage Sun Grown. This series features select wrapper, binder and filler tobaccos that have been aged for ten long years before being transferred to charred oak bourbon barrels for a two-year nap. This extensive aging mellows and marries the flavors to create cigars with a nice depth of flavor. The Sun Grown version has an oaky character with nutty notes, a bit of caramel and sweet spices, all in a medium-bodied cigar. The production is limited, so be sure to get your share.
