Peterson Amber Sandblast
Have you ever seen an ad for estate meerschaum where the description states "genuine amber stem"? Why should that mean anything? Well, Amber is fossilized tree sap and is looked upon as a semi-precious gemstone. Today, it's so expensive that it's not often used outside making jewelry. The folks at Peterson discovered a quantity of amber that they bought in the 1930s, so they decided to use it to make some limited edition pipes. Now, take a look at the result - the Peterson Amber Sandblast.
Here's a range of classic Peterson shapes, finished in a superb black sandblast. It's capped off with the aforementioned genuine amber stem, and to complete this very special package, the stem and shank are fitted with sterling silver spigot fitments. As a final touch, there's a matching black acrylic stem since amber is delicate. Use the acrylic stem for everyday use, and utilize the amber stem for those times you want to be taken back in time.
