The first whiff of this

The first whiff of this mixture is abrasive and also has a petrol like scent. The tobacco tasted strong and grassy. After 48 hours the scent mellowed along with the flavor. For those who remember blends of yesteryear..

Not being a fan of Cavendish and not liking Black Mallory at all, I'd had my doubts but gave this a try and more than glad that I did. The Cavendish to my taste buds is minimal at best. In point of fact; it has replaced my Night Cap which in my opinion, Peterson completely destroyed.

Bag of Rattray's 7 Reserve

bag had a hole in it and tobacco was completely dried out. Rehydration will take considerable time and effort.

Nice blend

Like it says on the tin, 7 Reserve is a medium blend. A good all day smoke. The Latakia lingers in the background, allowing all the other favors to come through, delighting the pallet without burning it. Certainly one of my favorites.
