Romeo y Julieta Anniversario was created in 2005 to commemorate the brand's 130th anniversary. For such a momentous occasion, ordinary wouldn't do, and these cigars are anything but.
They come in cabinet-style boxes of 28, which, when opened reveals a motherlode of gorgeous nut-brown deliciousness. The wrapper is a slowly-fermented Ecuadorian Sumatra, with a Connecticut Broadleaf binder directly underneath. The filler is a complex blend of tobaccos from Nicaragua, the Dominican Republic and Peru. The flavor is rich with a subtle spiciness highlighted by notes of sweet wood, toasted nut, leather and earth. It's high time to try one of these 92-rated gems.
