Romeo y Julieta Viejo
Romeo y Julieta Viejo is a bit of a departure, yet also a look back. The name refers to the well-aged tobaccos used in the making of these gently box-pressed beauties. The departure is in the flavor. This is a richer and more complex Romeo, while maintaining the characteristic smoothness you would expect. Viejo is also a nod to the past, with its traditional Cuban-style cabinet box and the old-school gold "Romeo y Julieta" band.
Viejo boasts a dark San Andres maduro wrapper over a blend of long-fillers from the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua and Honduras. You'll get thick volumes of creamy, luscious smoke and flavors of dark roast coffee, cocoa and wood, with a pleasantly lingering sweetness on the finish. If you're looking for more flavor that your standard Romeo, Viejo's the right call.
