A triumphant return...
Most of us in the business were certain that we hadn't heard the last of Steve Saka, formerly the President and CEO of Drew Estate. Steve's known as a man with an innovative mind, so we knew that when he returned, it would be with a bang. He created the Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust to allow him to reenvision what cigars should be, and that idea is very evident with his first release - Sobremesa.
Sobremesa refers to those after-dinner moments of relaxing with good company to chat, share a drink or two and enjoy a fine cigar. Sobremesa was blended to be that cigar.
Steve teamed up with his friends from Joya de Nicaragua to make these gems. They sport an oily and beautiful Ecuadorian Rosado wrapper, laid over a Mexican binder. The long-fillers consist of Nicaraguan tobaccos along with Pennsylvania Broadleaf. Sobremesa delivers notes of cocoa and espresso with a bit of caramel-like sweetness and hints of sweet wood and gentle spice. This medium-full cigar is meant for good times, great friends and enough spare time to luxuriate in the experience.
